On May 26, 2016, Mayor Denis Coderre met with the entrepreneurs of the Parcours Innovation PME Montréal 2016 cohort during C2 Montreal. For the second year in a row, Videotron Business Solutions teamed up with the initiative, which encourages entrepreneurship, development and innovation among local SMEs.

What is Parcours Innovation PME Montréal?

An initiative launched by the City of Montreal, Parcours Innovation PME Montréal allows 30 small and medium-sized businesses to find solutions to their business challenges through personalized training sessions and coaching.

An important appointment for SMBs

The mayor’s breakfast was held at C2 Montreal and gave four Parcours Innovation PME Montréal finalists the chance to share their business-related obstacles with Mr. Denis Coderre. They were able to discuss possible solutions with the mayor in order to propel the growth of their business.

Without further ado, we would like to present the four finalists who met with Mayor Coderre:

Mathieu Laroche, CEO at Certified Cartridges, developed a company specialized in selling printing products with an ecological and innovative approach, with the aim of making companies’ life easier. He would like to know how he can explain to his customers about the added value of a mobile app that will help optimize their ink cartridge consumption and supply.

Marc F. Adam, CEO at Nixa, created a Web-development agency that focuses on timeliness, service and transparency. His main challenge is to understand how he can innovate to be more productive while maintaining the balance and well being of his team in the context of continued growth.

Zara-Emmanuelle Villani, Vice-President of Business Development and Legal Affairs at Enveloppe Concept, took back a family company that specializes in the manufacturing and printing of envelopes. She sees diversification as a way to grow and would like to know what innovative methods would allow her to identify, and establish a dialogue with companies for a potential acquisition.

Lastly, Aziz Karim, Co-Founder of Polykar, set up a company that specializes in plastic bag production and wrapping. Mr. Karim would like to know how his company could benefit from technological advancements in order to accelerate growth.

Each of these entrepreneurs benefitted from high-calibre advice and will continue to fine-tune their creative solutions over the next few months.

Keep up the great work everybody!
